Sylvania DVL700E Progressive Scan DVD Player Specifications
Perfect as a versatile starter player, a back-up machine, or a gift, Sylvania's affordable DVL700E offers everything from high-end progressive-scan video output to video-mode DVD-R/RW playback, MP3 music playback from homemade CD-Rs, and a range of playback conveniences. Now your loved ones can watch the DVD-based home movies you send them. Or--if you're picking one up for your teens--you can impress your kids with your attentiveness to their interest in downloadable music.
You may, of right, buy one for yourself. And whether your living room is already home to an HDTV or you're merely thinking of "someday," the DVL700E is ready to deliver the full potential of your commercial DVDs. Progressive scanning, referred to as 480p for the number of horizontal lines that compose the video image, creates a picture using twice the scan lines of a conventional DVD picture, giving you higher resolution and sharper images while eliminating nearly all motion artifacts.
Other features include Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1-channel digital output (a coaxial connection, cable not included) for hookup with a compatible audio/video receiver and speaker system, simulated surround sound through any two speakers, 2x and 4x zoom, search speeds up to 100x, 10-point bookmarking, and parental lock. Video outputs include component-video, S-video, and composite-video terminals. Auto power off conserves energy and extends product life.
